Today is Veterans Day. Its no coincidence that it comes just a day after the Marine Corps Birthday.
Remember when you were waiting in the long lines to vote last week? Remember how glorious you felt when Barry won? Remember the euphoria you felt? How happy and glad that you thought real change was going to come to America?
Do you know who made those feelings of jubilation possible?
That’s right the Veterans! Its the Veterans are the made those feeling possible. Those are the people that made that vote possible and the rest of the votes in the past possible.
Its the Veterans that make it possible for you to protest, for you to voice your opinion, to be able to do what you want for a living, to be able to dress the way you want too.
Its the Veterans that fight for all of your rights.
Remember, the United States is the only county in the WORLD that has a 100% volunteer military. Those veterans CHOSE to sign the contract so you wouldn’t have too.
If you have the time today stop by the Liberty Memorial or by the VFW or a VA hospital and walk around and just say thanks.
I think they have at least earned a Thank You.
To all my fellow Veterans, Thank you for leading the way for another generation. Thank you for fighting for my rights and all the right of all Americans.

Let us not forget that a draft was in effect through Vietnam.
But past that, yeah you are right. I am a vet too, but just thought I would set that straight.
Have a good day Jarhead.

Smed, you old Army puke. I remember that there was a draft but that’s not going on right now.
Thanks for your service.

Thank you D, and Smed, and Doc, and everyone else who served. It doesn’t get anymore real than that. You all have my deep and sincere gratitude.
