Page 7 – Saturday Sports
Today was a big day in local sports!
The biggest news is the rumor that the Chiefs plan to keep Romeo Crennel as their head coach. I’m cool with this idea because the players play hard for him. I just hope they get in a really good offensive coordinator, if Bill Muir retires like he has said he MIGHT. Crennel can stay the defensive coordinator, just like other head coaches are also offensive coordinators.
Speaking of the Chiefs, two Chiefs, were named as finalist for induction in to the National Football League Hall of Fame. Willie Roaf and Will Shields are among 17 finalists for induction in to the Hall of Fame. The final inductees will be announced before the SuperBowl. Good luck to them.
KU beat Oklahoma 72-61 after a poor first half showing. The Jayawks went in to the locker room down by 1 point. The Jayhawks came out of the halftime fired.
Friday night the Kansas State Wildcats played in the Cotton Bowl and got whipped by Arkansas 29-16. This was really not a good game for the Wildcat.
But today the KSU Wildcats come out ready to play. The brought the Missouri Tigers out to the wood shed. The dismantled the Tigers by 16 points. The Tigers, who were one of 4 remaining undefeated, teams in the country, just got spanked. It was the Tigers, who are ranked at # 6 on the country, first real test this season.
Now it time for the NFL wild card Games.
I’m trying to back up everything before upgrading, but for some reason it’s not working. I dont know if its getting hung up a a specific file or what. I started the back up Saturday morning and it ran all night until Sunday morning and still wasn’t finished. That’s why there wasn’t a post yesterday. But I did write this on Saturday it just wasn’t posted. Since I wrote this post on Saturday I’m calling it good.

Most of the backup software systems these days have filters and edits in place to make sure what you are backing up is actually worth the effort and bandwidth.
That may be what you are up against here.
