First of all I want to say that I miss my friend who has always watched the show with me. This is the first episode I’ve ever see with out her.
Its only 45 min into the season premiere and my mind is already blowing out!
If you didn’t watch it tonight (or last night depending upon when your reading this) then you better stop reading MEOW!
***POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD***
We all know that the primary mystery of the show is time travel.
There are rules for time travel. So, I’m told any way. You can’t go back and kill Hitler because that would mean their was no Holocaust. Which could also mean that Obama would not be elected president. And that your Great Grand-parnets never met and therefore you were never born or that you never actually existed, and there for never went back in time and never killed Hitler. Its a vicious vicious circle.
Its complicated stuff.
Anyway, here are some thoughts.
Right now Locke and the rest of the survivors are on the island but in 2 different groups. But with the “record skipping” as Daniel put it, they could be are in two different times in the universe or 2 different present times if you will. This is one reason that Richard from the original inhabitants does not age.
When we first came back to Sawyers Clan Bernard came running out yelling that their camp had disappeared. The camp disappeared because it had never been built which means at the first “skip” or flash of light, they jumped back in time, how far we don’t know. We do know the plane that Locke saw crash was Mr. Ekos brother plane with the statues of the Virgin Mary filled with drugs.

Why does the island keep moving in time? I think its because the Oceanic 6 left and in order for it to stop moving they all have to come back.

Is Locke really dead when he is off the island?

Who is Penny Locke?
Why does Ben only get 70 hours and to do what?
Here’s and idea: What if the numbers (4,8,15,16,23,42) that Desmond was putting in the computer in past seasons was keeping the island from moving in time? Sort of like a pressure valve.
And the final question, WTF IS THE SMOKE MONSTER?

Was that Daniel’s Mom at the end or somebody else?
I agree, they have to all be there as a group to regulate the time shifts. The others aren’t jumping because their group is complete.

Nuke – It was Penny Locke at least that is what Ben called her. She was the lady at the very end with the swinging pendulum She told Ben he had 70 hours to get them back to island.
