Last night I’m at the gym just finishing an ass kickin workout on my abs. I work out at a gym that is on top of a high rise building smack in the middle of downtown. The work out room and all of the cardio equipment face south over looking Signal Hill and I-35 and parts south. As I finished the workout I walk into the mens locker room which faces north towards the River Market, Wheeler Downtown Airport and the Mighty Mo River.

The time is 7:35 I notice that it’s still hailing and I remark to myself,  ”AWW HAIL!” and “What the hail is going on around here?” I then take a closer look out the window and see this.

 Notice now low the plume of smoke is.

I then remark to no one, “Now THAT’S A FIRE!!” I then bust out my camera phone and take a series of pics to document the eventual burning of Kansas City.

I then sent in the first pic to Twitpic at 7:38 p.m That folks is a good 30 min before any of the local news networks had broke the story.

The D broke the story to the world!!
