The only stipulation is that all of the apps are free.

TweetDeck – Is my fav iphone app for twitter. It’s fast, easy to read, and never crashes. I only have 3 columns set up. All friends, Mentions and Direct Messages. I don’t follow a bunch of people so I don’t find the need to separate all of them out in to different columns or categories. It will up date the tweets automatically if I leave it open. Plus, I use the desktop client on my home laptop.

Twitterific – By having different color back grounds for each type of post, my tweets, when people reply to me, and when someone sends me a direst message.

Both have good and bad points. I find myself using each about the same amount of time during the day but Tweet deck does take longer to load. You’ll just have to chose which you like best.

Google Earth – Same as the program for your computer. Uses a lot of the battery. I think this program is a must have for any computer like word or excel.

The Weather Channel – Weather information basic stuff with alerts of severe weather around me no matter where I am.

Pandora – Internet music just like the web site.

Lose it! – Tracks what I eat, helps with my diet and calorie consumption. That is IF I remember to put the food into it.

Shazam – This one is consistently at the top of the App Store list. Hold the phone up to any speaker and it will tell you the artist and name of the song. You can even hum a song and it will tell you the name and artist. Then you can tag that song and it will down load it directly in to the itunes on the phone. Then you can up load those songs to your itunes on another computer.

Usatoday – Top stories from the newspaper I read this one just before I go to bed. I can link whatever article I want to twitter and post a link to it.

New York Times – Top stories from the news paper. Also read this one just before bed but it wont link to twitterific so I have to save it, then email it to myself then copy the link from the email into twitter. Its not that much of a hassle but it more of a hassle that USAtoday.

CBS Sports – Top stories about sports and will access my fantasy football teams website so I’ll have access to my entire league anytime I want.

Google -  with this you can say what your searching for instead of typing it.

Yellow Pages – Find places and call them automatically. Will also map them out so you know how to get there.

Drinks Free – Millions of drink recipes, shots, drinks, martinis, coffee, tea, shakes, floats, punch. I’ve already used this a couple of times at bars when getting college girls wasted.

GPS Lite – Free GPS program

Urban Spoon – Searches for restaurants near you. No matter where you are in the world. Its pretty good. Even if you don’t have an iphone you should be using this web site anyway.

Flixster – Movie listings. Will find you on a map and tell you where the nearest movie theater is and what is playing there, and what time.

Distance – Tell me how far I ran, pace, and distance.

Lightsaber – Makes sounds just like the lightsaber from Star Wars. Kids LOVE IT!

Fastlane Lite – Game Driving game.

FlyCast – Will play local radio stations, 989 The rock KUDL, KISS FM, The Buzz. Uses a LOT of the battery.

Tap Tap Revenge – Game – think guitar hero.

AroundMe – This is my newest and favorite. It will locate anything around you, Banks, Bars, Coffee House, Gas Stations, Hospitals, Hotels, Movie theaters, Parking lots, Pharmacies, Pubs, Restaurants, Supermarkets, Taxis, Theaters (like plays or live theaters), and the weather.

Facebook - Allows me to connect to face book and subvert the block my company has on it.

If you want more information on any app Just go to the app store and search for them and you’ll get more information on each of them. If you have a blackberry some of these apps are available for you. But you’ll have to do the leg work yourself.
